Job Description
Join Linde, a global leader in medical gas supply, as an essential Medical Oxygen Driver. This vital role involves the safe and timely delivery of medical oxygen cylinders and related equipment to hospitals, clinics, and residential customers throughout the Aurora and greater Denver metropolitan area. You will be responsible for ensuring that patients and healthcare providers receive the critical supplies they need, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport medical oxygen cylinders and related equipment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Load and unload cylinders and equipment, ensuring secure storage during transit.
- Deliver medical oxygen to hospitals, clinics, and individual patients on established routes.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company safety policies, and medical gas handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifest records, and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service, interacting professionally with clients and patients.
- Conduct minor vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs.
Required Skills
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HazMat endorsement.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy cylinders (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for vehicle checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience transporting medical gases or hazardous materials.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or logistics setting.
- Knowledge of local routes in Aurora and surrounding areas.
- High school diploma or GED.
