Job Description

Join the IKEA team as a Chair Set Assembler, focusing on efficient and high-quality assembly of 4-6 chair sets per shift. This role is crucial in ensuring our products are ready for display, delivery, or direct customer pickup, meeting IKEA’s high standards for safety and craftsmanship. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, contributing directly to the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble various IKEA chair sets according to detailed instructions and diagrams, ensuring efficient completion of 4-6 sets per shift.
  • Utilize a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Inspect all components for defects or damage before assembly and report any discrepancies.
  • Ensure the final assembled product meets IKEA's quality, stability, and aesthetic standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize assembly processes and achieve daily targets.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Ability to understand and follow detailed assembly instructions and diagrams.
  • Basic proficiency with common hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches) and power drills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good physical stamina, capable of standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Problem-solving skills for minor assembly challenges.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in furniture assembly, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on role.
  • Familiarity with IKEA products and assembly methods.
