Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dynamic team at St. Joseph’s Medical Center Stockton. This role offers flexible scheduling options, including 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, to help you achieve a better work-life balance while delivering exceptional patient care. As a Medical Center RN, you will provide direct patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes across various units within our facility. We value strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with professional nursing standards and hospital policies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs, record medical information, and report changes in patient conditions to appropriate medical staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including discharge planning and patient education.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Required Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Specialty certification (e.g., CCRN, PCCN, CEN).
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Experience with specific patient populations or units (e.g., Med/Surg, ICU, ER).
