Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Mattress Store Flipping Assistant to join our team in Naperville, IL. This role is crucial for maintaining the organization and presentation of our showroom floor and warehouse. Working in a two-person team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, rotation, and re-stacking of mattresses, requiring significant heavy lifting. This is a hands-on position that supports our sales team and ensures our products are always ready for customer viewing and purchase. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently move, flip, and re-stack mattresses of various sizes and weights, always working as part of a two-person team.
- Assist with the unloading and organization of new mattress inventory in the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe showroom floor and back-stock area.
- Support the sales team by ensuring display models are properly presented and accessible.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines for heavy lifting and material handling.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed within the store environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to consistently lift and move heavy objects (up to 75+ lbs individually, 150+ lbs as a team).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills for effective two-person lifting and coordination.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Attention to detail in maintaining product presentation and store organization.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or physically demanding role.
- Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
