Job Description
As a Loss Prevention Specialist in a High Security Environment at Walmart, you will be instrumental in safeguarding company assets, minimizing inventory shrinkage, and ensuring a safe shopping and working environment. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, strong investigative skills, and a commitment to maintaining rigorous security protocols. You will operate within facilities that demand heightened awareness and adherence to specific security procedures, contributing directly to the financial health and operational integrity of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance and investigations to detect and deter theft, fraud, and other forms of loss.
- Implement and enforce company loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Monitor security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation of all activities.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and internal partners on investigations.
- Provide training and awareness to associates on loss prevention best practices.
- Conduct regular security audits and inspections to identify vulnerabilities.
- Respond to and manage security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local security regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in loss prevention, security, or a related field in a high-security setting.
- Strong understanding of security systems, including CCTV and alarm monitoring.
- Excellent observational and analytical skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations and interviews.
- Proficient in report writing and documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Loss Prevention (e.g., LPQ, LPC).
- Experience with advanced surveillance technologies.
- Knowledge of retail operations and inventory management systems.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
