Job Description

Schneider is seeking dedicated and experienced Long Haul CDL-A Truckers to join our growing fleet. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle for long-haul routes.
  • Transport goods efficiently and on schedule across designated routes.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and submit necessary paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams.
  • Ensure the security and proper handling of freight.
  • Represent Schneider professionally to customers and the public.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
  • Minimum 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with truck driving (e.g., coupling/uncoupling trailers, inspecting equipment)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with refrigerated or specialized freight
  • HAZMAT endorsement
  • TWIC card
  • Proven record of on-time delivery and strong customer service
