Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Entry Level Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our dynamic team for immediate night shift openings. This is an incredible opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care, even without prior experience. As a CNA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our nursing staff and ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care during the evening and overnight hours. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Help patients with mobility and transfers, including turning and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake, and output, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Assist with basic patient care procedures under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, especially during overnight hours.
- Document care provided accurately and timely in patient records.
- Respond to patient call lights and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Required Skills
- Current Louisiana CNA certification or eligibility to obtain.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for charting and documentation.
- Physical ability to perform required duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to ethical practices and patient confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (can be obtained upon hire).
- Previous experience in a volunteer or observation role within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, especially for night shifts.
