Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Logistics Yard Gate Opener to join our operations team in Katy, TX. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow and security of our logistics yard. The successful candidate will be responsible for manually operating yard gates, verifying vehicle credentials, and ensuring accurate logging of all inbound and outbound traffic. This role requires excellent attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in an on-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manually operate yard gate barriers for incoming and outgoing vehicles.
  • Verify identification and paperwork for all drivers and vehicles entering or exiting the yard.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all yard movements, including vehicle numbers, times, and driver information.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch, and yard management personnel.
  • Enforce yard safety and security protocols, reporting any discrepancies or suspicious activities.
  • Assist with basic yard organization and other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
