Job Description
Are you passionate about your city and looking for a flexible way to earn money while staying active? DoorDash is seeking dedicated and reliable Last-Mile Bike Couriers to join our team in Richland. As a Dasher, you will be an essential link between local restaurants and hungry customers, ensuring timely and friendly delivery of orders within your designated delivery zone. This role offers the freedom of the open road, the ability to set your own schedule, and the satisfaction of bringing smiles to people’s faces with every delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick up food orders from various restaurants and businesses.
- Safely and promptly deliver orders to customers' doorsteps using a bicycle.
- Navigate city streets and use a smartphone app for delivery instructions and GPS.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with restaurant staff and customers.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all orders during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in riding a bicycle in urban environments.
- Possession of a reliable bicycle and smartphone with a data plan.
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with the local area (Richland).
- Ability to lift and carry delivery bags (up to 20 lbs).
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Customer service-oriented attitude.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery or customer service roles.
- Knowledge of local food establishments and city routes.
- Access to insulated delivery bags for temperature control.
