Job Description

Schlumberger is seeking a motivated Junior Well Testing Assistant to join our dynamic team in Fremont, CA. This entry-level position offers comprehensive technical training and hands-on experience in well testing operations, a critical component of reservoir evaluation. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning the fundamentals of data acquisition, equipment operation, and safety protocols. This role is designed for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior well testing personnel with the setup, operation, and dismantling of well testing equipment on site.
- Monitor equipment performance and collect accurate data as instructed.
- Learn and adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on testing instruments.
- Prepare and organize equipment and tools for well testing operations.
- Participate in pre-job planning and post-job reviews to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of activities and data collected.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational status and any issues.
- Engage actively in all provided technical training programs and workshops.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced field environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods, often outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or vocational training in a technical field (e.g., Mechanics, Electronics, Petroleum Technology).
- Prior experience in a hands-on industrial or field-based role.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
