Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliable Junior Vault Assistant to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. This entry-level position is crucial for the efficient and accurate handling of cash and other valuable assets within our bank vault operations. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional commitment to accuracy, strong organizational skills, and an unwavering adherence to security protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation of vault contents, ensuring absolute accuracy in cash and coin counts.
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments of currency and coin, verifying all transactions against manifests.
- Maintain meticulous records of all vault activities, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Adhere strictly to all bank security policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Assist with the preparation of cash drawers for tellers and other bank staff.
- Operate and maintain vault equipment, including counting machines and currency sorters.
- Report any discrepancies or suspicious activities immediately to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient vault operations.
- Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of the role.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong numerical aptitude and basic math skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy bags of coin (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cash handling or inventory management role.
