Job Description
Join our compassionate team at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital as a Hospital Sitter. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients who require constant observation. Your primary responsibility will be to provide continuous, direct observation to patients identified as being at risk for falls, self-harm, or other safety concerns. This is a low-stress, non-clinical role focused purely on observation and gentle companionship, allowing clinical staff to focus on medical care. No prior medical experience is required; we provide all necessary training. Key Responsibilities
- Provide continuous, direct visual observation of assigned patients, maintaining a safe environment.
- Report any changes in patient behavior, condition, or immediate safety risks to the nursing staff promptly.
- Engage patients in non-medical conversation or activities to help alleviate anxiety and promote comfort.
- Assist patients with non-clinical needs such as fetching water or adjusting room settings, upon request and within scope.
- Maintain a quiet and peaceful environment conducive to patient rest and recovery.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding patient safety and privacy.

Preferred Qualifications
