Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our growing team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is an immediate start position, contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care, companionship, and support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide medication reminders and assist with self-administration of medications as directed.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Monitor and report changes in client health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
  • Adhere to all agency policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Required Skills

  • Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Michigan.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a Home Health Aide or CNA.
  • Experience working with diverse client populations (e.g., elderly, individuals with disabilities, dementia care).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
