Job Description
Are you a compassionate individual looking for a fulfilling career where you can make a real difference? Home Instead in New Port Richey is seeking dedicated Home Companions to provide essential care and support to seniors in our community. No prior experience is required – we believe in nurturing talent and passion. We provide comprehensive paid training and support for all our caregivers, equipping you with the skills you need to succeed. This role includes travel to client homes, and all necessary travel resources and support will be provided. Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage in stimulating activities (e.g., puzzles, games, conversations).
- Assist clients with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, tidying, and meal preparation.
- Run errands and assist with grocery shopping, ensuring client needs are met.
- Provide medication reminders and ensure clients take their prescribed medications on time.
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support (after training).
- Transport clients to appointments, social engagements, or other outings.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
- Document care services provided and communicate effectively with the care team and family members.
Required Skills

- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to various home environments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

- Comfortable with basic smartphone applications for scheduling and care notes.
