Job Description

BayCare Health System is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals for the Home Health Aide (HHA) role. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare support, providing essential assistance and companionship to patients in their homes. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Provide light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and feeding assistance as needed.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient's health status or behavior to supervisory staff.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Help patients with medication reminders, as directed by a healthcare professional.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
  • Document services provided accurately and timely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a caregiving role (personal or professional).
  • Completion of a Home Health Aide (HHA) training program or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
