Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and client preferences.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with medication reminders as directed.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Document services provided accurately and timely.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) training program.
- Current HHA certification in California.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong observational and reporting skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
- Ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six months to one year of experience as a Home Health Aide in a home care setting.
- Experience working with diverse client populations.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
