Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Shopify Engineer to join our dynamic digital team. This role is crucial for enhancing our e-commerce platform, developing new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring a best-in-class online shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, excellent front-end and back-end development skills, and a passion for creating high-quality, scalable solutions. You will work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in shaping the future of our digital presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize our Shopify Plus e-commerce platform, including custom themes and apps.
- Implement new features and functionalities using Liquid, JavaScript (ES6+), React/Vue, HTML, and CSS/SASS.
- Manage and integrate third-party applications and APIs to enhance site capabilities (e.g., payment gateways, shipping, marketing tools).
- Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and mobile-friendliness of the online store.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain code quality and stability.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the full stack, providing timely resolutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates, industry trends, and development tools.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, with significant experience in Shopify development.
- Proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Strong command of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Solid understanding of back-end development concepts and experience with Node.js or similar environments.
- Familiarity with Shopify APIs (Storefront API, Admin API) and webhooks.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Shopify Plus and its advanced features.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with build tools like Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Previous experience in the retail or fashion industry.
