Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented FedEx Dispatch Specialist to join our Corporate Logistics Team in Sunnyvale. This role is crucial for managing and coordinating all FedEx shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of critical components and finished products. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment. You will be responsible for tracking shipments, resolving dispatch issues, and optimizing delivery routes to support Apple’s global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and dispatch FedEx shipments for various corporate departments and global supply chain needs.
  • Monitor and track all outgoing and incoming FedEx shipments, providing real-time status updates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for FedEx representatives and internal stakeholders regarding dispatch and delivery inquiries.
  • Identify and resolve any dispatch-related issues, including delays, damages, or misroutes, promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including manifests, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmations.
  • Optimize shipping routes and methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs, adhering to company policies and carrier guidelines.
  • Prepare necessary shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, warehousing, legal) to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
  • Utilize shipping software and internal systems to manage dispatch processes and generate reports.
  • Conduct regular audits of shipping invoices to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dispatch, logistics, or supply chain role, specifically with FedEx operations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using FedEx shipping software and other logistics management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management.
