Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Transport patients between hospital departments (e.g., to tests, procedures).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
  • Restock supplies and linens in patient care areas.
  • Provide basic patient comfort measures and respond to patient calls.
  • Assist with setting up and cleaning medical equipment.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all patients and staff.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Required Skills

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties requiring lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
