Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a FedEx Delivery Associate in Fontana, CA. This is a high-volume role perfect for someone who enjoys being active, working independently, and being an essential part of a dynamic delivery network. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to residential and commercial customers. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle in all weather conditions, adhering to traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and organization.
- Deliver a high volume of packages to designated locations promptly and accurately.
- Scan packages using a handheld device and obtain necessary signatures.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle and report any maintenance issues.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, representing FedEx Ground with a positive attitude.
- Manage delivery routes efficiently to meet daily targets and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 150 lbs (with assistance when needed).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery driving or a similar physically demanding role.
- Knowledge of the Fontana, CA area routes and traffic patterns.
- Experience with handheld scanning devices.
