Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Excel VBA Developer with a passion for automation to join our remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and enhancing Excel-based tools and applications using VBA to streamline business processes and improve data efficiency for various client projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience with real-world automation challenges in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain VBA macros and user-defined functions within Excel to automate repetitive tasks.
- Design and implement user-friendly Excel interfaces, forms, and dashboards.
- Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
- Debug and troubleshoot existing VBA code, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
- Optimize Excel workbooks and VBA code for performance and scalability.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation for all developed solutions.
- Provide support and training to end-users on newly developed tools.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for VBA development.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis tools).
- Solid understanding of VBA programming concepts and object-oriented principles.
- Experience with developing Excel macros and custom functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow in a remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with other programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.
- Experience with other Microsoft Office applications (Access, Outlook) automation.
- Understanding of database concepts and connectivity (e.g., ADO, ODBC).
- Prior internship or project experience in a data-intensive role.
