Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of Dog Daycare Assistants, ensuring high standards of animal care and client service.
- Oversee daily operations, including dog intake and release, feeding schedules, playgroup management, and facility cleaning.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in care, proactively managing playgroup dynamics and preventing conflicts.
- Administer basic first aid to animals as needed and follow emergency protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of dog behavior, health, and client communications.
- Communicate effectively with pet parents regarding their dog's day, behavior, and any concerns.
- Train new staff members on company policies, procedures, and best practices in dog handling.
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling, inventory management, and opening/closing duties.
- Promote a positive, fun, and safe environment for both dogs and staff.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in dog handling or animal care, preferably in a daycare or boarding setting.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent observational skills for monitoring dog behavior and group dynamics.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff and clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Knowledge of canine body language and behavior.
- Basic computer proficiency for record keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
- Certification in Pet First Aid and CPR.
- Relevant qualifications in animal care, behavior, or welfare.
- Experience with various dog breeds and temperaments.
