Job Description
Join Teachers Federal Credit Union as a Credit Union Associate in our Long Island City branch! This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to begin a career in financial services, with no prior experience required. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to credit union members, assisting with transactions, inquiries, and account maintenance.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Identify member needs and cross-sell appropriate credit union products and services, such as new accounts, loans, and digital banking solutions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all credit union products, services, and policies.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance standards and internal procedures.
- Balance cash drawer daily and assist with branch opening and closing procedures.
- Resolve member issues and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with learning new software.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, etc.) is a plus, but not required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly valued.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts or eagerness to learn.
