Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cosmetic Inventory Manager to join our warehouse team in Montreal. This role is crucial for maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring product availability, and minimizing waste within our cosmetic product lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, from inbound shipments to outbound distribution, with a strong focus on stock accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and operational excellence. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our beauty products are managed efficiently, meeting both internal targets and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inventory operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping of cosmetic products.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy of stock records.
- Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts, physical inventories) and reconcile discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and minimize obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to forecast demand and plan inventory requirements.
- Manage warehouse space utilization efficiently, ensuring proper storage conditions for cosmetic products.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in warehouse processes and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse environment.
- Generate comprehensive reports on inventory performance, stock movement, and key metrics.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management or a related warehouse management role, preferably in the cosmetic or FMCG industry.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles and logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
- Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM).
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
- Experience managing a team or leading inventory projects.
