Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Transcriptionist with a strong focus on regulatory content to join our remote team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and confidential transcription of audio recordings related to compliance reviews, regulatory discussions, and internal meetings. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional listening skills, a deep understanding of financial and legal terminology, and an unwavering commitment to accuracy and data security. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute to our mission from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe complex audio recordings, including interviews, meetings, and calls, with a specific emphasis on regulatory and compliance-related discussions.
- Ensure all transcriptions adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and data security guidelines.
- Review and proofread transcribed documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and contextual accuracy.
- Maintain a high level of productivity while meeting deadlines for transcription projects.
- Research and clarify terminology as needed to ensure complete accuracy of transcribed content.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to understand specific transcription requirements and sensitivities.
- Organize and manage multiple transcription tasks efficiently.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a transcriptionist, with a focus on legal, medical, or financial content.
- Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (minimum 70 WPM).
- Superior listening skills and ability to discern nuances in spoken language.
- Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Familiarity with regulatory terminology and compliance frameworks (e.g., FINRA, SEC, HIPAA).
- Proficiency in using transcription software and word processing tools.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or professional certification in transcription, legal studies, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in compliance or regulatory transcription within the financial services industry.
- Experience with secure document management systems.
- Understanding of regional and international regulatory requirements.
