Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to join our dynamic team in Fargo, ND. This full-time position offers top hourly rates and comprehensive benefits, reflecting our commitment to attracting and retaining the best talent. As a CPhT, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists with medication dispensing, patient care, and daily pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for accurately processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. This is an on-site position where you will work directly with patients and healthcare professionals, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment dedicated to patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage, resolving any issues promptly.
- Prepare prescription labels and ensure proper packaging of medications.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating supplies.
- Process prescription refills and manage patient profiles.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
- Operate pharmacy computer systems and cash registers.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Assist with immunization record keeping and scheduling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification (PTCB or NHA).
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in North Dakota.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting.
- Proficiency in pharmacy operating systems and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medication names, dosages, and common pharmacy calculations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field.
- Experience with advanced pharmacy technology and automation.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish or relevant local languages).
- Familiarity with immunization procedures and documentation.
