Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily educational activities and lessons.
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in accordance with Bright Horizons policies and state regulations.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Support children's social and emotional development, encouraging positive interactions.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress.
- Assist with personal care routines, including diapering, potty training, and hygiene.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Passion for working with young children.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a childcare setting or working with children (e.g., babysitting, volunteering).
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or actively pursuing one.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
