Job Description
Are you a 17-year-old looking for an exciting opportunity to earn money and gain valuable work experience after school? Amazon in Wesley Chapel, FL, is seeking energetic and reliable individuals to join our warehouse team as a Part-Time Warehouse Sorter. This is a fantastic entry-level position designed specifically for teens, offering a consistent schedule from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing you to balance work with your studies and personal life. As a Warehouse Sorter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring products are accurately processed and prepared for shipment. You’ll be part of a supportive team, contributing to the fast-paced and efficient operation that keeps Amazon’s promises to its customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort and place products into designated bins or locations based on size, type, and destination.
- Scan items using handheld devices to ensure proper inventory tracking.
- Inspect products for damage or defects and report any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
Required Skills
- Must be 17 years of age at the time of application.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
