Job Description
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Charter Coach Drivers to join our team for national tours across the USA. This is an exciting opportunity for professional drivers who love the open road and have a passion for providing exceptional passenger service. As a Charter Coach Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on planned national tours, ensuring their comfort and adherence to schedules. This role requires extensive travel, excellent navigation skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate charter coaches safely and efficiently on national tours across the United States.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring all mechanical and safety components are in proper working order.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, mileage reports, and other required documentation.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing passenger inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Manage unexpected situations, such as traffic delays or mechanical issues, with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the coach interior and exterior.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, tour operators, and maintenance teams.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physical ability to lift and carry luggage, and perform vehicle inspections.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all transportation regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and travel extensively.
- Geographic familiarity with major US routes and attractions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bus or coach driving experience.
- Previous experience with national tours or long-haul routes.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
