Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Rapid Response RN to join our dynamic urgent care team in Boulder, CO. This crucial role involves providing immediate, high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries, requiring quick assessment, intervention, and stabilization. Key Responsibilities
- Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments, identifying emergent and urgent conditions.
- Implement timely and effective nursing interventions based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Administer medications and treatments efficiently and safely.
- Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to interventions, adjusting care as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
- Manage and respond to medical emergencies within the urgent care setting.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Adhere to all UCHealth policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an emergency department, critical care unit, or high-acuity urgent care setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in rapid assessment, triage, and critical intervention techniques.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to perform effectively and calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system.
