Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Catering Van Loader, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate loading of catering vans. This position involves precisely loading both warmers and coolers with prepared food items and equipment, adhering to strict temperature control and safety protocols. You will be responsible for heavy lifting, organizing inventory, and collaborating with the catering and logistics teams to meet daily operational demands. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately load catering vans with warmers, coolers, food items, beverages, and equipment according to manifest and special instructions.
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs consistently) and maneuver items safely and efficiently.
- Verify product quantities and ensure all items are properly secured for transit to prevent damage.
- Maintain strict adherence to temperature control guidelines for both hot and cold food items.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the cleanliness of the loading dock and storage areas.
- Communicate effectively with catering staff and drivers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Conduct pre-loading checks to ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of safety equipment.
