Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Bulk Warehouse Associate with a heavy industrial focus to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. This role is crucial for the efficient and safe handling of large-volume and heavy industrial goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials, often utilizing heavy machinery and adhering to strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong attention to detail, and be committed to maintaining high standards of operational excellence. This is an on-site position requiring consistent presence at our Newark facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently load and unload bulk materials from trucks and containers using appropriate material handling equipment.
  • Accurately receive, label, and store incoming goods in designated warehouse locations.
  • Perform picking and packing of heavy industrial products according to order specifications.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy industrial equipment in a safe and responsible manner (certification preferred, but training may be provided).
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Prepare goods for outbound shipment, ensuring proper documentation and packaging.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and meet daily targets.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous physical tasks.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading instructions and performing simple calculations.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (1+ year) in a warehouse or industrial setting, particularly with heavy materials.
  • Forklift operator certification or experience operating similar heavy machinery.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with various types of industrial goods and their safe handling procedures.
