Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Bulk Order Picker to join our fast-paced distribution centre team in Derry/Londonderry. This role is crucial for ensuring our stores are well-stocked and customers receive their products promptly. The position requires a strong focus on heavy lifting and manual handling, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods. You will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing large quantities of items for shipment, contributing directly to our operational success. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick bulk orders from warehouse inventory, often involving heavy items.
- Safely operate manual and powered pallet jacks, or other lifting equipment as required, after training.
- Verify order accuracy and product integrity before staging for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as needed.
- Work efficiently to meet daily picking targets and deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects frequently (up to 25kg) throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations or willingness to learn quickly.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or order picking role.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
