Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in hospitality? Greene King in Bedford is seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as Bar and Waiting Staff. No prior experience is required – we’re looking for people with a great attitude and a willingness to learn! You’ll play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, serving food and drinks with a smile, and ensuring everyone has a fantastic time. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with seating arrangements.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, using our point-of-sale system.
- Serve food and beverages to tables and at the bar, ensuring high standards of presentation.
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following recipes and guidelines.
- Handle cash and card payments, process transactions, and manage tabs.
- Clear tables, wash dishes, and assist with general cleaning duties to maintain a tidy and hygienic environment.
- Restock bar and dining areas with necessary supplies.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding orders and special requests.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
