Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic / Technician to join our dynamic team in Provo, Utah. Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid flushes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
- Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, differentials, and other vehicle components.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on various vehicle systems.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status and repair recommendations.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic or Technician.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems (engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical).
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE certifications (e.g., A1-A8, L1).
- Experience with Ford or Lincoln vehicles.
- Previous dealership experience.
- Vocational or technical school degree in automotive repair.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
