Job Description

We are seeking an ‘Apple Sentiment Guru’ with a strong market research focus to join our dynamic and innovative team. This 100% remote role requires a deep understanding of consumer sentiment analysis, particularly as it pertains to the Apple ecosystem of products and services. The ideal candidate will be adept at utilizing advanced analytics, natural language processing (NLP), and market research methodologies to uncover actionable insights from vast datasets. You will serve as a subject matter expert, guiding clients and internal teams on understanding and leveraging public and consumer perceptions of Apple. Your insights will directly influence strategic recommendations, product development, and marketing campaigns for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of comprehensive sentiment analysis studies focused on Apple products, services, and brand.
  • Utilize a variety of data sources, including social media, forums, reviews, news articles, and survey data, to gather sentiment.
  • Apply advanced NLP techniques and machine learning models to extract, categorize, and quantify sentiment data.
  • Develop and refine sentiment dictionaries and models specific to the technology and consumer electronics sectors.
  • Translate complex data and analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Present findings and insights to stakeholders, including C-suite executives, product managers, and marketing teams.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market research methodologies, and technological advancements in sentiment analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, market researchers, and consultants, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of our sentiment analysis capabilities.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in market research, data analysis, or a related field with a focus on sentiment analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sentiment analysis tools and methodologies, including NLP and text analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large, unstructured datasets.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python with libraries like NLTK, spaCy, pandas) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Deep understanding of the Apple product ecosystem, brand, and market positioning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with leading market research agencies or consultancies.
  • Familiarity with various market research techniques beyond sentiment analysis (e.g., conjoint analysis, segmentation).
  • Experience in building and deploying machine learning models for text classification or sentiment prediction.
  • Certifications in data science, machine learning, or specific analytics platforms.
