Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and technically inclined Apple Hardware Systems Aide to join our design support team in Garden Grove. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and support of our hardware design processes. The successful candidate will provide essential technical assistance to our engineering and design teams, contributing to the development and refinement of Apple’s cutting-edge hardware systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic and innovative environment, supporting projects from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assistance to hardware design engineers and teams.
- Assist in the preparation, setup, and maintenance of hardware test benches and prototyping environments.
- Execute diagnostic tests and troubleshoot issues related to hardware components and systems.
- Document design iterations, test results, and technical specifications accurately.
- Manage and organize inventory of hardware components, tools, and prototypes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
- Contribute to the improvement of design support processes and methodologies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of electronics and hardware systems.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
- Familiarity with test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., MS Office Suite, Google Workspace).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Hardware, or a related technical field.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or schematic capture tools.
- Prior experience in a technical support or lab assistant role.
- Knowledge of Apple hardware architecture and operating systems.
