Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our dynamic team in Laval. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects, demanding a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and leadership. The successful candidate will be a key player on site, contributing to our reputation for quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Execute specialized tasks and operations according to project plans and specifications.
- Monitor work progress, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
- Operate and maintain advanced machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other site personnel.
- Identify potential issues on site and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Prepare daily activity reports and ensure accurate documentation of work performed.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in construction or a related skilled trade.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions and demanding environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications or trade qualifications (e.g., journeyman status).
- Experience in a lead hand or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Quebec.
- Proficiency in both English and French.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
