Job Description
Join Integris Health as a Part-Time Lab Courier and play a vital role in our medical operations. This unique opportunity is specifically designed for motivated 17-year-old teens looking to gain valuable experience in a professional healthcare environment. As a Lab Courier, you will be responsible for the timely and secure transport of medical documents, samples, and supplies between our various lab facilities and clinics within Oklahoma City. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a strong commitment to patient privacy and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport medical documents, lab specimens, and supplies between Integris Health facilities.
- Adhere strictly to all transportation and handling protocols for medical materials.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure the secure delivery of all items.
- Communicate effectively with lab staff, clinic personnel, and supervisors regarding pickups and deliveries.
- Follow scheduled routes and timelines, adapting to changes as needed.
- Perform routine checks of vehicle condition and report any maintenance needs.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and logs are accurately completed.
- Represent Integris Health professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Must be 17 years of age or older.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a volunteer or paid role requiring responsibility and reliability.
- Basic knowledge of Oklahoma City geography.
