Job Description
Join Google’s pioneering team dedicated to shaping the ethical landscape of artificial intelligence. As a Safety Evaluator for AI Bots, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our AI models interact with users safely, fairly, and responsibly. You will meticulously review AI-generated content and responses, identify potential biases, harmful outputs, or inappropriate content, and provide critical feedback to refine our AI’s ethical guidelines and content filters. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep commitment to ethical AI development.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI bot responses and interactions against predefined safety, ethical, and content policy guidelines.
- Identify and categorize problematic AI outputs, including but not limited to bias, misinformation, hate speech, or inappropriate content.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback to AI development and engineering teams to improve model performance and safety filters.
- Participate in calibration sessions to ensure consistency in evaluation standards across the team.
- Stay informed about evolving ethical considerations, cultural nuances, and policy updates related to AI and online content.
- Contribute to the refinement of evaluation rubrics and training materials for AI safety.
- Document findings and contribute to reports on AI performance and areas for improvement.
Required Skills

- Demonstrated ability to make sound ethical judgments.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) concepts.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Ethics, Linguistics, Psychology, Communications, or Computer Science.
- Previous experience in content moderation, data annotation, quality assurance, or policy enforcement.
- Understanding of cultural sensitivities and diverse perspectives.
- Familiarity with Google products and services.
