Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Porter to join our team at a prestigious resort in Preston, Lancashire. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the hotel during the night hours, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining a secure environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from front desk duties to security checks and guest assistance. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the front desk operations during night shifts, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries.
- Perform regular security patrols of the property, ensuring all areas are secure and reporting any suspicious activity.
- Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
- Prepare daily reports, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate handover to the morning shift.
- Assist with basic cleaning tasks and setting up for breakfast service as required.
- Monitor fire safety systems and other essential building services, responding to alarms or issues according to established procedures.
- Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions to guests.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor, especially during emergencies.
