Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Mail Order Pharmacy Technician to join our fast-paced facility in Davenport, Iowa. This is a 100% indoor work position where you will play a crucial role in processing and dispensing prescriptions to patients nationwide. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume environment, possesses exceptional attention to detail, and is committed to ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process prescription orders accurately and efficiently in a high-volume mail-order setting.
  • Enter prescription information into the computer system and verify patient data.
  • Prepare and package medications for shipment, ensuring correct labeling and quantities.
  • Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical supplies and assist with restocking.
  • Assist pharmacists with various tasks to ensure timely and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures related to pharmacy practice.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacists and other team members to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Operate automated dispensing equipment and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current Iowa Pharmacy Technician registration/license in good standing.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
  • Previous experience in a mail order or high-volume pharmacy setting.
  • Experience with pharmacy management software systems.
  • Familiarity with inventory management processes.
