Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our esteemed private practice in Costa Mesa. This is an exceptional opportunity for an FNP looking to leverage their expertise in a high-autonomy setting with a competitive compensation package. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of acute and chronic conditions. You will work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and an advanced Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments for patients across the lifespan.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, adjusting as necessary based on patient response and medical guidelines.
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies in accordance with state regulations and clinical best practices.
- Provide patient and family education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication management.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient records within the EMR system.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all clinic policies and procedures.
- Conduct health screenings, immunizations, and routine check-ups.
Required Skills
- Current, unencumbered Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the State of California.
- Valid DEA registration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a broad range of medical conditions.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse patient panel effectively.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a private practice or outpatient clinic setting.
- Specialization or certification in a specific area (e.g., urgent care, women's health).
- Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish.
- Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
