Job Description
Are you passionate about creating order from chaos? Do you have a knack for transforming wardrobes and making spaces shine? Tidy Spaces Nova Scotia is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Seasonal Closet Organizers to join our team for the bustling Spring and Fall decluttering seasons. This role involves working directly with clients in their homes, providing expert guidance and hands-on assistance to sort, declutter, categorize, and organize closets and dressing areas. If you love helping people achieve calm and functionality in their personal spaces, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home consultations to assess client needs and preferences for closet organization.
- Guide clients through the decluttering process, helping them make informed decisions about their belongings.
- Sort, categorize, and arrange clothing, accessories, and other items within closets efficiently and aesthetically.
- Implement practical storage solutions using existing client materials or recommending new products.
- Provide personalized tips and strategies for maintaining an organized closet long-term.
- Ensure client satisfaction through excellent service and professional demeanor.
- Adhere to Tidy Spaces Nova Scotia's organizational methodologies and standards.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to organize and declutter various spaces, particularly closets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to client homes across Halifax.
- High level of discretion and respect for client privacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in professional organizing or a related field (e.g., visual merchandising, personal styling).
- Knowledge of various organizational systems and storage solutions.
- Certification from a professional organizing association (e.g., POC).
- Familiarity with local retail options for organizational products.
