Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Fargo, North Dakota. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet established quality standards and specifications before they leave our facility. This role involves inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished products, as well as documenting inspection results and collaborating with production teams to address quality issues. While the job title references ‘Houston Manufacturing,’ this specific position is located at our Fargo facility, contributing to our broader manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize various measurement tools and techniques (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, maintaining comprehensive quality records.
  • Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials or products; initiate corrective action requests as needed.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality control procedures and standards.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of quality control processes and documentation.
  • Conduct final product audits to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in quality control or assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of inspection methods and quality control tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in Quality Control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
  • Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation and programming.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
