Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our growing team in Irving, TX. This is a high-demand role offering the opportunity to work directly within your local community, providing essential support and care to patients in their homes. As an HHA, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with daily living activities, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and observing and reporting changes in their health status. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, including ambulation and use of assistive devices.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks relevant to the patient's immediate environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Remind patients to take medications as prescribed.
- Observe, document, and report any changes in the patient's physical condition, behavior, or home environment to the supervising nurse.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the patient.
- Accompany patients to appointments or outings as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
Required Skills
- Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in Texas.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Compassionate and patient-oriented demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Irving and surrounding neighborhoods.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in home health or a similar caregiving role.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of basic nutrition and meal preparation.
