Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Computer Vision Research Intern to join our Autonomous Systems team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development in the field of computer vision for autonomous applications. The intern will work alongside experienced researchers and engineers on projects involving perception, object recognition, scene understanding, and sensor fusion for intelligent systems. This role is ideal for a student eager to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges and gain hands-on experience in a leading research environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development in computer vision algorithms for autonomous systems.
- Implement, test, and evaluate state-of-the-art deep learning models for tasks such as object detection, segmentation, and tracking.
- Contribute to the design and development of robust perception systems using various sensor modalities (e.g., camera, LiDAR, radar).
- Collect, preprocess, and annotate datasets for training and validation of computer vision models.
- Analyze performance of algorithms and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate computer vision components into broader autonomous system architectures.
- Document research findings and present results to the team.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge in computer vision and machine learning concepts.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., OpenCV, NumPy, scikit-learn).
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Familiarity with data structures and algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific computer vision tasks like object detection, semantic segmentation, or 3D reconstruction.
- Familiarity with autonomous driving concepts or robotics platforms (e.g., ROS).
- Experience with C++ programming.
- Previous research experience, publications, or contributions to open-source projects in computer vision or robotics.
