Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Educator to join our dedicated team in Rialto, CA. This crucial role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for our hospital nursing staff. The Nurse Educator will play a vital role in ensuring our nurses maintain the highest standards of clinical practice, patient safety, and professional development. This position offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, fostering a healthy work-life balance while making a significant impact on healthcare excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate orientation programs for new nursing staff.
- Design and deliver continuing education programs based on identified needs, new policies, procedures, and evidence-based practice.
- Assess the learning needs and competencies of nursing staff through various methods.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Provide direct bedside education and support to nursing staff as needed.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and departmental managers to identify educational priorities.
- Maintain accurate records of educational activities, staff participation, and competency evaluations.
- Stay current with healthcare trends, regulatory requirements, and advancements in nursing practice.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to nursing education and patient outcomes.
Required Skills
- Current RN license in California
- Minimum of 5 years of recent acute care clinical nursing experience
- Demonstrated experience in adult education principles and curriculum development
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing Education, Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), or related field
- ANCC Nurse Educator certification or other relevant specialty certifications
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS)
- Prior experience as a Nurse Educator or preceptor
