Job Description
Swift Transportation is seeking dedicated and experienced Long Haul CDL-A Truckers to join our thriving team. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle for long-haul routes across the continental US.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Secure cargo properly to ensure safe transit and delivery.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and delivery information.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Represent Swift Transportation professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) trucking experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with trucking, including lifting, bending, and climbing.
- Reliable and safety-conscious.
- Comfortable with long periods of driving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with refrigerated or specialized freight.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Defensive driving course certification.
