Job Description
Are you passionate about helping startup founders and their teams achieve ambitious goals? Do you thrive on guiding individuals through strategic planning, overcoming obstacles, and fostering a mindset of continuous improvement? Stripe is seeking a dedicated Virtual Goal Achievement Coach to work with our network of burgeoning startup partners. In this 100% remote role, you will leverage your expertise to empower startup leaders, helping them define clear objectives, develop actionable plans, and maintain accountability in the fast-paced tech environment. Key Responsibilities
- Partner with startup founders and key team members to define clear, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals.
- Develop personalized coaching plans tailored to the unique challenges and aspirations of each startup.
- Facilitate regular virtual coaching sessions, providing guidance, feedback, and accountability.
- Help identify and mitigate potential roadblocks to goal achievement, offering strategies for problem-solving.
- Foster a growth mindset and resilience among coachees, encouraging learning from successes and setbacks.
- Collaborate with Stripe's internal teams to align coaching efforts with broader startup support initiatives.
- Maintain detailed records of coaching progress, insights, and outcomes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, coaching methodologies, and startup ecosystem dynamics to continuously enhance coaching effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional coaching, mentorship, or leadership development, preferably within the tech or startup sector.
- Demonstrated ability to set and achieve challenging goals, both personally and for others.
- Exceptional active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of startup lifecycle, common challenges, and growth strategies.
- Proficiency in virtual communication and collaboration tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse portfolio of coachees.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- ICF (International Coaching Federation) certification or equivalent professional coaching accreditation.
- Previous experience as a founder, early employee in a startup, or working with a venture capital firm/accelerator.
- Familiarity with various goal-setting frameworks (e.g., OKRs, KPIs).
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
